The High Cotton Chapter is centered in south-central Alabama, enjoying the state’s slogan, “Alabama the Beautiful.” with many scenic roads to enjoy. High Cotton is a term depicting the picker’s viewpoint that he didn’t have to stoop so low, the cotton bolls were thick on the stalk and “easy pickin’s.” Used to indicate that times are good and prosperous. The chapter supports children’s and women’s causes.
We host two fundraisers each year, currently for Magic Moments of Alabama, and Women of Hope in Montgomery, AL.
We welcome all like-minded women to join us on our rides. Drop us a note at highcotton@leatherandlacemc.com Check us out on Facebook too!
The Alabama High Cotton Chapter began forming in 2006 and now enjoys having full members, and support members. Throughout this time, the chapter has taken a very active part in Leather & Lace MC, traveling to support other chapters in fundraisers as well as traveling to enjoy time with various sisters in widespread locations. Although the members do not live in the same city in Alabama, they are within a radius of 60 miles to a common meeting point. The chapter holds two meetings a month online, and gets together at least once a month, usually at one of the member’s homes for an overnight meeting. These get-togethers usually include attending an event, having dinner together and lots of fun times.
